That’s basically the first Kissing Chaos Volume in a nutshell. It began life as an 8 issue mini-series in 2001. A collected edition was released a year later with a good collection of extras.

The story basically follows Damien and Angela as they run from their troubled pasts. They run into Raevyn, who’s own storied past becomes tangled up with her fellow runaways. While on the road, they are chased by the police, strange men dressed all in black, and one of Raevyn’s disgruntled victims.

As the story progresses, it becomes clear that as strange as this all seems, all these things are actually related…

The book garnered me an Eisner nomination, and comparisons with my heroes such as David Lynch! It’s been a while since I wrote and drew the book, and I’ve toyed with redoing the entire print series with all new art, and adding more to the story. Kind of like a director’s cut of the comic…
